Adeyemi College product tops Masters class in UI, receives doctoral fellowship award

An alumnus of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, Mr. Isaac Busayo Ogunniranye, has made history at the University of Ibadan by leading in his M.Sc in Physics class with a 7/7 point aggregrate.

Mr. Ogunniranye graduated with a First Class from the Department of Physics and was awarded College Prize for the Best Ondo Graduating Degree Student for 2011/2012 Session during the 2014 Convocation.

Shortly after completing his national youth  service in Anambra State, he secured admission into the University of Ibadan in pursuant of his Masters degree in Physics (Theoretical Physics) in 2014. 

During the course of his MSc programme, he demonstrated a great potential for outstanding academics in the field of Theoretical Physics by making excellent grades in all his courses and emerged the best student in the Department.

 He completed his Masters programme as the best in his graduating class with a perfect CGPA of 7.00 – an indication of his academic and intellectual capacity and this consequently made the Board of the Postgraduate School to award him a Doctoral Scholarship. 

He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in the field of Theoretical Physics in the Department of Physics, University of Ibadan. 

He had his elementary and secondary education in Kaduna and later completed it at Holy Trinity Grammar School, Ondo where he  was the Senior Prefect for the 2004/2005 set. 

The young Busayo had the following awards/scholarships to his credit: High Chief (Sir) Olabanji Akingbule Scholarship for two consecutive sessions; COEASU Scholarship Award for Best Degree Student with a CGPA of 4.6 and NAPS Award of Excellence for the Best Degree Student.

Indeed, his performance has stood him out and showcased the great wealth of academic deposits he has received from Adeyemi college of education. His performance at University of Ibadan is a testimony of the academic values the College possesses as many of the alumnus have distinguished themselves in their various disciplines across the globe.
