Division of General Administration, Registry
The Division of General Administration of the College was established in 1983 with an Assistant Registrar, Mr. O. Alabi as the Head of Department. Its evolution may be traced to the period when the University of Ife Council (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in April, 1981 approved that an Interim Governing Board is set up for Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo.
In view of the new development, a separate Registry came into existence, to provide administrative support for the day-to-day running of the College. At that period, the Registry was comprised of Division of General Administration, among other two. The Division of General Administration initially serviced the Interim Governing Council Board set up that time and its Committees.
Its other major tasks comprised the following:
· Planning, Budgeting and Monitoring;
· Publication and Publicity;
· Registration of Contractors;
· Issuance of Identity Cards;
· Supervision of the College Postal Agency; and
· Servicing of College Communities
In 1992 when the Governing Council of the College was set up, it serviced the Council and its Committees. The above functions were performed until 19th February 2007 when the Division of Council was carved out of the Division.
The Division of General Administration performs major tasks today that has to do with the servicing of the College Management Committee (CMC), handling the booking of Auditorium and Lecture Theatre, and other College assignments as directed by the College Management.
